Yes, you are looking at a Sea Dragon, perhaps nature's best example of camouflage. It looks like a plant, but it's a sea horse. This one is upside down--or at least his snout is on the bottom right, and his tail is on the top left. In all, it's about ten inches from end to end. It's one of the most amazing creatures I've seen. It's an example of the incredible diversity of life on this planet.

We go from one of the least appealing creatures, the opossum, to one of the most exquisite creatures of the sea - a relative of the sea horse, the sea dragon.
