Historic Fairport Harbor Light (the original lighthouse in Fairport Harbor, OH) was built in 1871. Bridgetown, Lake Lighthouse, Foggy Weather, Harbor Lights, Lighthouse Art, Sea To Shining Sea, Blue Nature, Beautiful Lighthouse, Guiding Light

The old Fairport Harbor, Ohio Lighthouse was built in 1871 and operated until a new lighthouse was built on the west breakwater further out on Lake Erie in 1925. The keeper's house is now a maritime museum, and is possibly haunted by a ghost cat (as seen on the Travel Channel's Haunted Lighthouses). It's worth the trip, and the climb up the stairs to the top of the tower.
