The Cotton Bowl. Hank Willis-Thomas. 2011. This photograph is extremely meaningful. It clearly depicts where African-Americans have come from and where they are now. The left side of the photograph shows an African-American slave in America picking cotton. The right side depicts an African-American athlete playing football. It is amazing to see where African-Americans came from and now have a significant place in society, and this meaningful photograph clearly depicts that.
