Jane Faase on Instagram: "Found a box of very old pressed flannel flowers. They are so delicate that I wasn’t sure how they would go on the gelplate. Golden Open acrylics are perfect for this (colours I used are listed below). The paint stays wet so long that you can get 3-5 prints off each one. I love printing onto tissue so once I had a few prints I started laying prints back over others, creating lovely soft, mid and darker toned prints. Twelve multi-layered prints in less than 30 minutes. I’ve just filmed a masterclass on using all these beautiful gelprints in cardmaking. Stay tuned!!! After placing the flower in the wet paint on the plate I used tissue paper to remove as much paint as possible from around the flower. Then I used a baby wipe to clean up the rest. Painted the flower, then used gold to pick up the print on a music paper background. All paints are Art acrylics, I let the paint dry between every layer, the music sheet was photo copied onto 200gr copier paper. I left the paper on the gel plate until everything was dry. This print kind of reminds me of poëziealbumplaatjes which I can’t translate and I think is something typical Dutch and German?
