Flapper Pie is simply a cooked vanilla custard in a graham crust and topped with meringue. It's best eaten fresh the day it's made. I find that using a good quality pure vanilla makes a big difference in the taste of this pie. Yields one deep dish pie. Crust: 1/3 cup melted butter 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/8 cup white sugar Melt butter and stir in crumbs and sugar. Press mixture into a pie plate and bake in 350ºF oven for 8-10 minutes.
