This image depicts two female dancers partnering with each other. It is very common in the current competition dance world for two girls to dance a duet together—something we don't see a lot of in the more classical ballet companies. These duets tend to not have as much partnering (i.e. lifts) in them as duets between a woman and a man, and they also don't tend to be centered around a love story like there often is when performed by a couple of differing genders.
