We all experience the trial and error phase in caring for our locs. For me, some things were very successful, while others were a complete disaster. I have definitely learnt a lot along the way. In order to help you avoid the disasters, I am going to share with you some of my general dos and don'ts for locks.

I know you want to wash your hair to prevent build up and keep your locs clean but keep in mind over washing can cause your locs to take longer to lock in and you can risk thinning as well. Every 3 weeks is fine. 

Water is essential for your locs but shampoo too often is not good and will cause them to be stripped of their natural oils 

✨Not Moisturizing Enough✨

For some reason it is easy to neglect your locs when it comes to this. If you do not hydrate your locs (Rose Water Spray) Shine moisturize I can promise you will have brittle dry locs. To top it all off, you must wrap your hair at night that cotton pillow case is killing your hair and striping it of moisture you just put into them! satin works best! 😇
