Lucia Ocejo on Instagram: "Working on some porcelain handled cups this week. This shape takes inspiration from Gwyn Piggott work, which I admire very much. I pray to the kiln gods some some of these pieces will come out of my first (slightly experimental) gas fire in a few weeks 🤞🏼

Joseph Bounds on Instagram: "These are one of the most time consuming pieces that I make. One cup can take well over an hour just to carve, most of that spent hollowing out the inside of the cup. Given the dynamic and textured shape of the outside, these small cups tend to be a bit thicker and heavier than a normal cup, and I have to be careful not to trim through the walls when carving the inner contours of the cup to match the shape of the exterior. Despite the extra work, these are satisfying cups to make and to hold. #kurinuki #kurinukicup #kurinukitechnique #potterytechniques #pottery #ceramics #ceramictechniques" Yunomi Cups Ceramic Pottery, Kurinuki Pottery Ideas, Ceramic Glazing Techniques, Pottery Texture Ideas, Raku Pottery Ideas, Clay Texture Techniques, Kurinuki Cup, Cool Pottery Ideas, Pottery Carving Ideas

Pinched Pottery on Instagram: "4oz pinched cups in espresso. I named this clay “espresso”, it’s actually a mix of 3 different brown clays that I loved but unfortunately discontinued. I also added in coarse grog as well. Started with a ball of clay about 220-230g and as always, rough shaped them first then let them dry until they are firm enough to be handled without losing their shape to do the final shaping/pinching. I didn’t need any tools for these. Raw inside and out - fired twice, bisque fired at cone 04 then glazed fired at cone 6 without any glazes on. Sealed with @liquid_quartz_sealer. Full making videos are saved on story highlights. . . . . . #stoneware #darkclay #pinchpot #handbuiltpottery #handmademug #handbuilding #ceramiclove #rustic #ceramics #tableware #ceramiccup #pinc Pinching Technique Clay, Ceramic Cups Without Handles, Mug Shapes Ceramics, Pinch Pot Espresso Cup, Espresso Mugs Pottery, Hand Pinched Pottery, Espresso Cups Pottery, Espresso Ceramic Cups, Clay Espresso Cups
