Clitoria ternatia, commonly called BUTTERFLY PEA. This is a climbing plant distributed through out the tropics from South America to Old World Tropics (Asia) and believed to be the native of South Ameria. This is often planted in garden for its beautiful flowers. The botanical name comes from the resemblance of the flowers to the human female external reproductory organ.
