5th grade art auction project, inspired by Pinterest, of course. We cut squares of 140 lb. wet medium paper and the kids used acrylic paints. The squares were glued on to a large canvas.

DIY Texas Fingerprint art for my son's preschool class Silent Auction project. Turned out amazing! Progress photos on top. We used a flat canvas.
