Located amidst the famous Dandakaranya Jungles, Bastar comes to life during Dussehra. The festival celebrated over a span of 75 days involves performances and pujas by the tribal community. The festivity gives an insight into the indigenous culture of the quaint town tucked away from the hubbubs of the cities. Unlike the much celebrated concept of Dussehra, it is not an event that marks the victory of good over evil, but a puja dedicated to God Dhanteswari.
