Then I would like to share with you which trick often helps me… First I measure how deep the vessel in question is. And the combination of a ruler and a stick (chopstick, pen, second ruler - or just something straight will be fine as well) worked pretty well for me. After turning around, I now mark the measured depth from the outside and have an indication how far I can trim. Voilà And in the end the lid was really evenly thick…. I would be very happy if you would write about your experience with this method.
