Paula Clegg on Instagram: "Starting to get to work on May’s preorders! These bowls are made out of 1&1/2lbs of porcelain and are about 6” wide and 3” tall. These bowls are a great versatile size. Perfect for cereal, ice cream, soup, etc. Check out my website to see what’s available. Fellow potters, have you worked with porcelain before?! I have found when working with porcelain it’s important not to add too much water since it will make the clay too soft and it could collapse on itself. So I try to make the bowl with as few pulls as possible. I combine opening the hole and making the first pull and then just one full pull. After that, it’s all about getting the right shape and width. #potteryvideos #pottery #ceramicsvideos #ceramics #wheelthrowing #wheelthrowingvideos #satisfyingvide How To Make A Bowl Out Of Clay, Pottery Soup Bowls, Pottery Bowl Ideas, Ice Cream Bowls Ceramic, Ceramic Cereal Bowl, Cereal Ice Cream, Ice Bowl, Wheel Throwing, Pottery Videos

These will be turned a little to refine the shape around the base when they are leatherhard. Clay shrinks when it is fired (I think 10-12% in the case of the one I’m using here), so I hope my projection of their final size is about right 🤞🏼 #womeninceramics #clay #ceramics #pottery #handmade #wheelthrownpottery #wheelthrownceramics #handmadeceramics #wheelthrown #bristol #bristolmakers #emmapuddickpottery #modernceramics #ihavethisthingwithceramics #makersgonnamake #potterylove #ceramic #potteryofinstagram #potterylife #ceramicartist Ramen Bowl Ceramic Handmade, Cereal Bowl Pottery, Pottery Noodle Bowls, Cereal Bowl Ceramics, Ramen Pottery Bowl, Ramen Ceramic Bowl, Pottery Ramen Bowl, Pasta Bowls Pottery, Ramen Bowl Pottery

This may be stating the obvious but this sized bowl is for eating from. We reckon these are the perfect size for serving small amounts, or for soup, cereal, or pudding. Then again it depends how much you want to eat and whether you prefer one large bowl or are game to go for seconds.
