Cabin Forum/Blog: Just got started on my 16x20 cabin. Have (13) 6x6 post on top of cement, with 2x12 around the sides and 2x8 floor joist supported by (2) 2x8 supports under the center of the joist. Just have some 20p nails and 3 1/2 screws through the 2x12 for now. Thinking 1/2 bolts through the 2x12 and 6x6 pillars will support the weight of the cabin. Any thoughts or suggestions?
