My twins were born at 37 weeks and I couldn’t breastfeed them exclusively until they were about 9 weeks. During that time, I was exclusively pumping every 2 hours and bottle fed them with my breastmilk. I wanted to make sure we were still working toward breastfeeding so I reached out for help. My lactation consultant recommended that I breastfeed each baby one at a time for about 8-10 minutes a day building their skills up (when they were newborns).
