Myanmar Snub-Nosed Monkey, Rhinopithecus strykeri - New England Primate Conservancy
This is the Myanmar snub-nosed monkey! Discovered only in 2010, it was identified as a distinct species in 2011. They live along the mountainous border of Myanmar and China at an altitude of 8,500 to 10,000 ft (2,600 to 3,100 m). They are estimated to have a population between only 260-330 individuals. This species is Critically Endangered as it is threatened by hunting and habitat loss for human settlement. 📸: Yin Yang. Used with permission
