Woman's hat

Woman's hat intended to be worn on back of head. This straw bonnet has silk velvet ribbon trim (silk warp and pile; cotton weft), flowers and "stems" of cotton plain weave, and a silk lining. The construction of the flowers involves paper; a stem of twisted paper attaches to the cotton plain weave petals and this paper stem is wrapped with a brown plain weave cotton fabric cut on the bias so that it curls around the paper stem.
