Connecting the letter name/symbol (grapheme) and sound (phoneme) we are preparing our little ones for later reading success. By using this little chant as a reference guide, you can provide a fun and playful way to learn the alphabet AND the sounds that the letters represent. I use hand gestures that my students helped create to give a little hint about what words start with those letter sounds. Start with a few at a time and work your way up to all 26!
