Makeup had always been a very important aspect in people’s lives and especially for those who were in the public spotlight. Right now, makeup is accessible and affordable for everyone to get, and some people choose to create art with it. It’s not just a tool to make your face shine, while hiding a few blemishes, but also a way to convey your emotions. And that’s what some 3D makeup artists out there are trying to do through their art.

Started as a makeup artists and progressed to work with some big television stars. Italian artist Luca Luce applies makeup to TV and entertainment celebrities, but in his own time, he creates self-portrait optical illusions. It must be difficult applying these complex designs on other peoples faces and heads, it must require even more skill, to do it on your own one. Makeup is supposed to be fun and you certainly don't have to wait for an annual appropriate occasion like Halloween to explore its endless possibilities! Some artists become celebrities' and famous characters' doppelgangers with spectacular resemblance, while others explore spooky, horror film-worthy makeup looks, focus on a specific part of their body to create whole paintings, or try to seriously mess with our minds.
