30min · 4 servings Ingredients • 1 onion ( finely diced ) • 6 cloves fresh garlic ( diced ) • 2 tbsp olive oil • Salt to taste • 1 tbsp black pepper • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes • 5 tbsp tomato paste • 1 cup pasta water • 2 tbsp butter • 1/2 cup unsweetened heavy whipping cream • 1/2 pack rigatoni pasta • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Fresh basil ( for garnish) Instructions • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened and yellowed (3- 5 minutes). Add tomato paste and cook, stirring occasionally, until paste is brick red and starts to caramelize. Add pasta water. Add salt, pepper & red chili flakes. Cook for 1 minute. Add cream and mix well • Heat a large pot with 3 quarts of salted water for the rigatoni pasta. On
Creamy Sausage Pasta topped with Burrata 🤤
Instagram: @thesecarbsdontcount 1. Cook 1/2 a lb of pasta in salted water until al dente. 2. Add 2tbsp of butter & a dash of olive oil to a pan on medium heat. Add 1/2 a diced onion and 3 cloves minced garlic. 3. Salt and let cook for a few minutes. 4. Add 8oz ground Italian sausage to a pan and season with salt, pepper, onion/ garlic powder, paprika and basil. Cook until browned. 5. Add 3 tbsp of tomato paste and mix into the sausage. 6. Add 1 cup of heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Then add another 1/2 cup of heavy cream along with the same seasonings used for the sausage. 7. Add 1/4 a cup of Parm, 1/2 a cup of Asiago and 1/2 a cup mozzarella cheese with a dash of pasta water. 8. Mix until combined then add a handful of fresh basil and extra Parm!
