Megan Dahlman on Instagram: "🙋♀️ Did you know this?!?! Yikes! I’ll admit, I used to foam roll my IT band like crazy and even recommend it to my clients for their knee pain. Yes, knee pain along the outside edge of your knee COULD be an aggravated IT band. Super common. 👉 But the truth is your IT band pain is not really supposed to LONG and LOOSE. So foam rolling it probably won’t solve that knee pain. 😬 However, that IT band can become aggravated and cranky when your HIP FLEXORS are tight and your GLUTES are weak. So, a much better solution for that knee pain would be: ✅ Foam roll, stretch, and look for ways to release any tightness in your hip flexors ✅ Strengthen your glutes!!!
