This loaf will cost you around $1.50 to make 🙌 And no special equipment required 👏 I just used a 5.5 qt sauce pot that has a lid. A Dutch oven works too but not necessary. The pot should be oven safe. Recipe below or click the link in my profile for the printable version @megunprocessed INGREDIENTS * 3 cups unbleached, organic all-purpose flour * 2 tsp salt * 1/2 tsp yeast * 1.5 cups water INSTRUCTIONS * Mix the flour, salt and yeast together in a large bowl by hand. Don’t use a mixer. Then add the water and slowly stir it in the flour mix until everything is combined forming the dough. Cover the bowl and let it sit for 12 hours or overnight. * Once the dough is ready, preheat oven to 450 F degrees. While oven is heating, place your Dutch Oven ( or you can use a large pot with a lid. I used a 5.5 qt sauce pot) in the oven to allow it to preheat too. * Flour your hands as well as the counter or a piece of parchment paper to place the dough on. Remove dough from bowl and form it into a ball. No kneading required! I like to fold it four ways then flip it over to make the ball. * Put the dough ball into your Dutch Oven or large pot and bake for 30 minutes with the lid on. Then bake for another 10 minutes with the lid off. The bread should turn a nice golden brown. Remove the pot from the oven and allow bread to cool on a cooling rack or other surface. Here's the recipe: 3 cups unbleached flour 1/2 teaspoon active yeast 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 1/2 cups room temperature water Mix the dry ingredients, then add the oil and water. No kneading necessary! Place the dough in a glass bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap (I use my microwave to avoid drafts). After 18 hours, preheat a covered Dutch oven in a 450-degree oven. Line with parchment paper, drop in the dough, cover, and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 8 minutes. The result? Absolutely delicious! My kids can't get enough of it.
