Shabbat is a weekly 25-hour observance, from sundown each Friday night through the completion of nightfall on Saturday. It’s symbolic of God’s seventh day of rest which after taking six days created the world. There are two special traditional on Shabbat. First is the special Shabbat meals, including blessing over wine and special braided egg breads called challah.
