This is a cute way to introduce and reinforce spacing. I used this as a lesson within our writers' workshop. I cut out little paper meatballs and gave the kiddos pieces of yellow yarn for the spaghetti. This way they won't actually draw the meatballs and spaghetti within their writing. Now, we have moved on to just using our finger as the meatball spaces.
