@threesphysiyoga on Instagram: "💙There is a deep connection between the tension we hold in our jaw and our pelvic floor If you have a tight jaw, grind your teeth at night, find yourself clenching throughout the day, you might be surprised to know that you are probably also gripping in your pelvic floor. 👉These two usually go hand in hand, and happen for several reasons. 🔹stress, anxiety, nervous system state 🔹compensatory patterns for weakness in the deep core, and hip stabilizers. 🔹posture 🔹old habits 👉In order to get the full effect of also releasing a gripping pelvic floor while doing this jaw release make sure you: 1. Take a full breath into your low rib cage, feel your ribs expand in the front, sides and back if you can 2. Don’t suck in, at all, let your belly completely go 3.

You and everybody else! Many people are told their sciatica, glute pain, or low back pain is due to their piriformis and they need to “release” their piriformis but the methods just don’t work! This leaves you frustrated, spinning your tires, and still in pain! 🔑 The key here is that smashing your piriformis just doesn’t provide long-term results, in fact nerves don’t like compression so if you are trying to fix sciatica this could make it worse! You need exercises that will help mobilize the hip, mobilize the piriformis, and strengthen the piriformis to change its function! These exercises will

However, there is growing evidence activities that require complex movement of the hands + are a mental workout seem to be beneficial for our brain health.
