What you'll do

A Customer´s go-to advisors for their payments needs, related to Verifone´s product offering, both pre- and post-sale. Internally, this role will serve as the technical and functional strategist within the Sales team, acting as a liaison between the different business units (i.e., Product and Engineering) and the Customer´s functional needs. As a Solution Consultant, this role must also make sure to keep track of current Payments trends, keeping its industry and tech knowledge up to date. Provides technical, business support and expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products, as well as advises the Customer on the best use of Verifone´s product within their Payments ecosystem, for which preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions may be required. Also, may build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. Ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications and will support in making sure our product evolution is keeping up with Market needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales:

  • Determine and advise on functional/technical needs.
  • Ability to Demo Verifone´s products
  • Understanding and providing technical documentation
  • Fielding questions as they are received.
  • Providing examples of what existing implementation looks like.

Post-Sales:

  • Provide guidance and support on Verifone´s product implementation.
  • Lead handover and Kick-off call introducing buyer/user/implementation
  • Advise Current customers on best use of Verifone´s product.
  • Platform capabilities walk through – what was shared in the sales cycle (pre-contract) and defining it to the "new" parties involved.
  • Providing thought leadership to the market and Verifone product evangelization.
  • Facilitating market feedback to internal stakeholders for the benefit of Verifone´s products.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

What qualifications will you need to be successful?

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years as sales engineer, solutions consultant or technical support experience.
  • Project Management, Engineering, Developer or Product Management experience is a plus.
  • BA or BS Degree.
  • Willing to travel
  • Must have worked with payment devices and software in the past and be familiar with market trends.

Skills & Ability

  • Excellent communication skills. Maintain interaction with all internal teams, customers and external partners and vendors
  • Very strong written communication and analytical skills
  • Team player and self-driven.
