Data Governance Scope Configuration - From Goals to Initiators DG programs start with an overall vision that "we need to improve everything and fix everything that's wrong" in managing our data. Focusing on the most impactful results is crucial. Otherwise, you'll be exhausted before you complete them. The main data governance activities are: 🎯 Capture 🎯 Entry 🎯 Technology 🎯 Data Quality 🎯 Monitoring 🎯 Here are the key objectives relevant to starting a #DataGovernance program: Data Governance permeates all stages of the data platform, and manages data quality. of input, cataloging, and validation after ingestion for PDCA enforcement. 1. Increase the quantity, quality, and depth of data/analytics penetration in the business. 2. Increase data object reuse and reporting capabilities. 3. Eliminate inconsistencies in the interpretation and values of business metrics. 4. Reduce the wait time for data discovery operations by analysts and engineers. 5. Minimize duplicate efforts in preparing and cleaning data for business tasks. 6. Achieve desired and stable quality levels for critical data. 7. Ensure transparency of data quality statuses for important data objects. 8. Accelerate the process of hiring and onboarding newcomers into data roles, reduce turnover within the data team. 9. Accelerate the integration of acquired companies. 10. Optimize resources for storage and maintenance of data objects. 11. Reduce compliance and security risks. For the reuse of data in the structuring of data and corporate models, we started the structuring of data domains (concept - of the DDD (Domain Driven Design) architecture. This week I finished a very cool course, on the concepts of corporate taxonomy, with applicability of defense of the main corporate domains, the hierarchical structuring of these domains that mirror the processes/"business units" of the company. And already structuring which possible data contemplate the domains, describe the data that are represented in the hierarchical structuring of the domains. It was really cool, all the knowledge gained these last few weeks with Renate Land that brings refinement techniques to the structuring of #taxonomiacorporativa, in the case of data, we can apply in the structuring of domains, which is a critical enabler for #governancadedados. Thank you for all the knowledge!! With this, it is important to monitor the maturity of the data on the platform and the reuse of corporate data.
