    Designed and coordinated the development of the initial version of the eServices project for the company. An internet-based system to track port and vessel operations, for performance optimization.

    Built on J2EE and executed on a JBoss container with an Oracle database on Linux servers, it was the first system in Bunge built on open-source and free platforms.

    Designed and coordinated the development of the initial version of the eServices project for the company. An internet-based system to track port and vessel operations, for performance optimization.

    Built on J2EE and executed on a JBoss container with an Oracle database on Linux servers, it was the first system in Bunge built on open-source and free platforms.

    Among its main functions, the sytem had port line up visibility (vessels waiting "in line" for berth vacancy), vessel operations including charge or discharge time and performance measurements, interruptions and its causes from the first line all the way to vessel departure with automatic statement of facts reports generation and statistics generation.

    Developed with eCore partners (www.ecore.com.br), using principles of project management from PMI, basic UML notations for documentation (Together), source code versioning system (cvs) and issue tracking solutions (bugzilla), the system had its initial version released in production along with hand over to a new key user from vessel operations team in Fertimport.

    The system had important business impact by standardizing port operations and customer reporting by replacing manual reports built on Word or Excel across all Fertimport ports in Brazil, Argentina, plus a few in North America and Europe.
