📅 On July 22, a joint session will be held in Rio de Janeiro between representatives of the Finance Track and coordinators of the engagement groups under Brazil's G20 presidency. During the event, the proposals from the 13 engagement groups will be presented to the Finance Ministries and Central Bank Governors of the member countries. The joint session is a result of the efforts of G20 Social, a platform for dialogue for the engagement groups and organized global civil society with the G20 Sherpa Track and the Finance Track. This unprecedented moment will mark a significant step forward in the experience of social participation within the G20 framework. Representing the T20, IPEA, FUNAG, and CEBRI will participate in the event.

🎯 Task Force 06: "Strengthening Multilateralism and Global Governance" 💡 TF06 aims to strengthen multilateralism and global governance, drawing up recommendations that dialogue with the third priority of the Brazilian presidency for the G20: reform of multilateral institutions and global cooperation mechanisms. 🌐 Co-led by the Igarapé Institute and the Institute for Global Dialogue (IGD), the task force encompasses discussions on the influence of countries from the Global South in these governance institutions, including the debate on the reform of the UN Security Council. 🎯 Task Force 04: “Trade and investment for sustainable and inclusive growth” 💡 TF04 aims to encourage trade and investment mechanisms for sustainable and inclusive growth, proposing strategies to leverage international trade, investment policies and regional economic integration. 🌐 Co-led by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), the task force aims to present innovative ideas to the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty and the Trade and Investment Working Group. 🎯 Task Force 02: "Sustainable climate action and inclusive and just energy transitions" 💡TF02 proposes strategies for thinking about climate change and promoting the energy transitions needed to decarbonize the global economy.
