Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Pedro Rio and Victor Copque, the co-founders of Clarke Energia, for a toast at our office to celebrate their successful merger with Energisa, aiming to build the primary technology interface for the Brazilian free energy market. We partnered with Pedro and Victor in 2020 and have been privileged to accompany their journey, from fundraising to commercial endeavors, and now their M&A. We are proud to have been their co-founders from day one, and grateful to celebrate this major milestone together!

Speaking of our investments, here's a wrap-up of our 2023: We welcomed 15 new investments and are grateful to be co-founders of high-level entrepreneurs. In addition to our new deals, our existing portfolio has seen remarkable growth, with 25 subsequent rounds raised by Canary's portfolio companies, surpassing $200 million in total amount raised. Semana passada recebi uma das maiores premiações da minha jornada como Empreendedora, fui eleita como a Empreendedora Endeavor do Ano 2023! Todos que me seguem aqui sabem que sou fã da Endeavor Brasil, uma ONG que é a maior rede de Empreendedorismo do Mundo com a missão de acelerar empreendedores/as que aceleram o crescimento do país. Ao escrever este post aqui já me emociono de pensar em tudo o que este prêmio significa. Desde que começamos a Gupy em 2015 eu sempre olhei para a Endeavor como O lugar que eu queria muito pertencer, pois reunia os maiores empreendedores/as do Brasil em uma rede de muita troca para uma pessoa mentorar e ajudar a outra a crescer e impactar mais. Mas não foi fácil pertencer. Pra sermos uma startup do Programa Scale Up em 2018 tivemos que trabalhar muito e depois para sermos selecionados como Empreendedores Endeavor em 2020 em uma seleção global tivemos que nos dedicar em dobro, a cada oportunidade que aparecia agarrávamos para conseguir estar dentro desta maior rede de empreendedorismo do mundo. Nos últimos anos demos mais um passo e viramos Empreendedores Endeavor Outliers, aqueles e aquelas que mais crescem e impactam no mundo, um grupo pequeno que Bruna Guimarães e eu somos as únicas mulheres Empreendedoras do Brasil a fazer parte. Ano passado aceitei o convite de fazer parte do Conselho da Endeavor Brasil e agora recebi aquele prêmio que sempre sonhei, aquele prêmio que reconhece todo o poder de impacto desta rede, o de Empreendedora do Ano, que é baseado no impacto e no tempo que dedicamos a dar mentoria, giveback e ajudar outros Empreendores/as. Mesmo em um dos anos mais complexos da minha jornada, estou muito orgulhosa de ter conseguido dedicar tempo para mentorar outros founders da rede, ajudá-los/as em seus desafios complexos e isso sem contar as mentorias e tempo que faço questão de dedicar para a impactante Máfia do Moscatel que impulsionar Empreendedoras que Bruna e eu fundamos. É sobre isso minha gente, ser ajudado/a e ajudar, mentorias para ajudar o Brasil a ser uma potência cada vez maior por Empreendedoras e Empreendores que podem certamente mudar nosso país! As we are growing, we are now in the need to add someone experienced on our Operations team. 👤 Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Operations Associate to play a vital role in our operational activities. The Operations Associate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our venture capital operations, including investment processes, cash management, and financial statements. ⚙ Key Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day operational activities related to our venture capital investments, including investment transactions, cash management, and distributions. - Conduct quarterly reconciliation of fund balances and financials and yearly audits. - Collaborate with investment teams to assess operational risks and opportunities. - Generate detailed reports to assist in portfolio management decisions, providing critical insights into the performance and health of our investments. - Oversee and control cash movement processes, including fund transfers and withdrawals, to maintain the integrity of our financial operations. - Create internal processes that ensure the scalability of our Firm overtime. 💡 Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics) with 5-10 years of professional experience in Operations within Asset Managers, Banking Back Office, or Financial Auditing. - Strong understanding of financial and investment operations, including familiarity with asset management processes. - Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of accuracy and compliance. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Fluent in English (written and spoken). - Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. - Self-motivated with excellent time management skills. - Comfortable handling a diverse range of matters throughout the day.
