A punk rocker arsonist on the run and his number one fan embark on a series of misadventures through suburbia, finding unexpected love along the way. Stoner rom-com misfit love FTW!

Following a string of arguably justifiable arsons plus a few close-calls with the cops, aggro-pyro-punk Simon (Kyle Gallner) is on the lam and running out of hideout options. Across town, nerdy-sweet Patty (Emily Skeggs) is bullied by jocks, treated like she’s intellectually disabled by her family, and fired from her job for not being pretty enough. Her happy place is in her room thrash dancing to her favorite band Psyops, masturbating furiously, and sending naughty polaroids to the band’s mysterious lead singer. A chance encounter between our two protagonists literally saves the day and changes the course of both their lives as they set off on a wild romp through Nowhere, Michigan.

Virtuosic writer/director Adam Rehmeier crafts an uncompromising, confrontational, and daring comedy imbued with absurdity, charm, and a surprising measure of sweetness. Skeggs dazzles and disarms as soft-spoken Patty while Gallner’s prickly Simon helplessly melts away the more time they spend together; the union of this seemingly mismatched pair is absolutely electric, thoroughly anarchic, and 100% pure.

Set to an incredible original soundtrack (that will hopefully get the vinyl or cassette treatment soon), this firecracker of a film is not only the dark comedy of the festival but of the year as well.
