Maria Frankland

Maria Frankland has written fourteen psychological thriller novels. She has a dubious internet search history and a very worried mother-in-law. She loves to explore the darkness that can exist between people who are supposed to love each other from the safety of her fiction. It intrigues her that the home, a place where we should feel at our safest, can be the place that poses the greatest danger. Maria is born ‘n’ bred in Yorkshire in the UK – her accent apparently comes through in her writing. She’s just past the big 5-0 and has two grown up sons. Her 40’s have been incredible: She’s done an MA in Creative Writing, made writing her full time career, and found the happy-ever-after that doesn’t exist in her writing – after marrying for the second time.
