The Words of Independence

For many of us, Independence Day is a day for picnics, pools, and fireworks. But it also commemorates the day in 1776 when representatives from the thirteen colonies declared that the United States of America was now an independent country. Here is a chance to read the words of that declaration printed in the shape of one of the nation’s symbols of liberty.
