On Monday, Novak Djokovic defeated Holger Rune in three sets to reach the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the seventh straight year.

The seven-time Wimbledon champion will face Alex de Minaur, who won earlier today, in the semifinals.

In the two other fourth-round matches on the men's side, Taylor Fritz earned a stunning victory after trailing Alexander Zverev two sets to love, while No. 25 seed Lorenzo Musetti ended Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard's Cinderella run.

In the women's draw, Elena Rybakina rallied from an early service break and won eight straight games before her opponent, Anna Kalinskaya, retired.

Rybakina, the No. 4 seed, is the only remaining top-six seed and has made it to the quarterfinal round of Wimbledon for the third straight year.

The former 2022 Wimbledon champion is the favorite to win, though Emma Navarro and Jelena Ostapenko are not too far behind.

At 37 years old, Novak Djokovic is aging like fine wine.

The Serbian is back in the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the seventh straight year after defeating No. 15 seed Holger Rune in straight sets.

The No. 2 seed entered this year's tournament just weeks removed from torn meniscus surgery; however, he has looked like a favorite, dropping just three service games and two sets in four matches.

Competition will only toughen with Alex de Minaur looming in the quarterfinals, followed by a potential matchup with Taylor Fritz in the semis.

If the 24-time Grand Slam champion is able to retain his current form, he should be able to reach the final for a sixth straight year.

Alexander Zverev had won 56 straight service games and hadn't lost a set in his 2024 Wimbledon campaign.

The fourth-seed had Taylor Fritz on the ropes, up two sets to love, well on his way to reaching his first Wimbledon quarterfinal.

    Then, Taylor Fritz woke up.

Despite nearly insurmountable odds and a poor track record against top-five opponents, the 26-year-old, once dubbed the future of American tennis, delivered an improbable performance over the ensuing three sets.

Fritz has reached the quarterfinal round across Grand Slams before, and he has even won Indian Wells, but this is, without a doubt, the biggest victory of his career.

Furthermore, with the win, the Wimbledon quarterfinals include two American men (Tommy Paul and Taylor Fritz) for the first time since 2000 (Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, and Jan-Michael Gambill).

Top Half of Draw Is a Race Between Elena Rybakina and Jelena Ostapenko

In a draw shattered by upsets, No. 4 seed Elena Rybakina and No. 13 seed Jelena Ostapenko have been dominant.

Rybakina has dropped two sets across her four matches, and in her most recent match, she won eight games in a row before her opponent, Anna Kalinskaya, bowed out of their fourth-round match.

Ostapenko has been equally impressive, if not more.

The 2018 Wimbledon semifinalist has spent a total of four hours on court through her four matches and has not dropped a set.

The two are the favorites to win Wimbledon and will likely meet in the semifinals.
