Novak Djokovic survived an upset scare to reach the fourth round of Wimbledon.

The Serbian remains the favorite to emerge from the bottom of the draw, though Alexander Zverev and Alex De Minaur are not far behind.

While most of the top seeds in the men's draw won their matches on Saturday, the women's draw experienced a few noteworthy upsets.

No. 1 seed Iga Swiatek, the favorite to win Wimbledon, struggled to maintain consistency, falling to Yulia Putintseva in three sets.

Simultaneously, Ons Jabeur, the back-to-back Wimbledon runner-up, fell to Elina Svitolina in straight sets.

With Swiatek and Jabeur out, Elena Rybakina and Jelena Ostapenko are considered the favorites from the top half of the draw.

Novak Djokovic defeated Alexei Popyrin in four sets to earn his spot in the fourth round of Wimbledon for the seventh straight year.

Djokovic struggled early against his opponent's powerful serve but was able to adapt and flourish late.

Although the No. 2 seed entered Wimbledon with limited preparation and is just weeks removed from surgery to repair a torn meniscus, his play has only gotten stronger as the tournament has unfolded.

The seven-time Wimbledon champion may continue to drop a set here or there, but he remains the firm favorite in the bottom half of the draw, with Alexander Zverev trailing behind.

For the first time since 2021, No. 4 seed Alexander Zverev has advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon.

Zverev has previously made it clear that grass is his least preferred surface, and the 27-year-old has had limited success on it.

However, this week has been an outlier.

The German has not dropped a set during the entire tournament.

Zverev will face Taylor Fritz, who will undoubtedly be his toughest opponent to date, yet considering his outstanding form, he should still win, paving the way to his first quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon.

Iga Swiatek, the top seed in the women's draw, had the shortest odds to win Wimbledon and defeated her first two opponents in straight sets.

However, the Pole's quest for her first Wimbledon title came to a stunning halt in the third round.

The Pole struggled with consistency, committing 38 unforced errors while winning just 62% of points on her first serve.

Swiatek was not the only player in the women's draw whose Wimbledon campaign ended earlier than expected on Saturday.

Ons Jabeur, the back-to-back Wimbledon runner-up, fell to Elina Svitolina in straight sets.

With both players eliminated, Elena Rybakina is the expected favorite to reach the final.

However, Jelena Ostapenko, who won her third-round match in an hour, is not far behind.
