It's absolutely wild in the Men's <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/MITB?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#MITB</a> Ladder Match! <a href="https://t.co/CwE5mLFoHm">pic.twitter.com/CwE5mLFoHm</a>

This year's men's MITB ladder match was arguably one of the most unpredictable in recent memory since an argument could have been made for any of the six participants to win.

The star-studded field was determined via a number of Triple Threat qualifying matches over the past few weeks, meaning all six Superstars had to earn their way in.

Jey Uso beat Rey Mysterio and Finn Bálor, Carmelo Hayes defeated Randy Orton and Tama Tonga, Chad Gable got past Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed, Andrade took down Grayson Waller and Kevin Owens, Drew McIntyre beat Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov, and LA Knight defeated Logan Paul and Santos Escobar.

Of the six wrestlers competing in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match, there was a great deal of variance between them in terms of what they have accomplished in WWE.

Topping the list is McIntyre, who is a three-time world champion and one-time Royal Rumble winner, and he was looking to use Money in the Bank as a stepping stone to get back to the top.

Uso and Gable are former tag team champions who have enjoyed singles success recently but are still in search of their first singles titles in WWE.

Hayes and Knight were both top stars in NXT, and they entered Money in the Bank knowing they had the opportunity to ascend to a main event level.

Andrade was United States champion during his first stint with WWE, and Money in the Bank provided him with the chance to position himself as a world title threat.

Less than one month after CM Punk screwed him over in a World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest in his home country of Scotland, McIntyre took a huge step in his pursuit of the world title.

The Scottish Warrior figures to be a highly dangerous threat with the Money in the Bank contract in tow, and it's fitting that he now holds it since he lost the world title via a cash-in at WrestleMania 40 in April.
