Despite recent concerns, Novak Djokovic will be playing at Wimbledon this year.

The Serbian is a seven-time Wimbledon champion, though he lost a year ago to Carlos Alcaraz in a five-set thriller in the final.

Neither one of them is a favorite, however.

Instead, No. 1 seed Jannik Sinner enters as the favorite.

The Italian has lost just three matches all year, and given the conditions of grass-court tennis, it'll take an impeccable performance from an opponent to knock him down.

In the bottom half of the draw, Novak Djokovic is the favorite to emerge, though given his lack of preparation on grass this season, the door is open for Hubert Hurkacz and Alexander Zverev.

Hurkacz enters with incredible momentum and significant improvement in his return game.

This past week, the 27-year-old Pole reached the final of the ATP Halle 500 before falling to Sinner.

Zverev, on the other hand, has had limited success at Wimbledon but has played consistent tennis all year.

While Sinner seems likely to emerge out of the top half of the draw, the bottom half poses questions.

If Hurkacz is able to stay consistent enough on serve, he will present an extremely tough matchup for Djokovic in the quarterfinals and Zverev in the semifinal.

This is the Pole's best chance yet to reach the final, and he should be able to capitalize on it.

Prediction: Sinner over Hurkacz in five sets.

Marketa Vondoursova enters as the defending champion on the women's side, though she is not among the top ten favorites to win the 2024 edition.

Instead, Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek are the two favorites.

The latter is still searching for her first Wimbledon trophy.

Swiatek's top half of the draw includes 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and back-to-back runner-up Ons Jabeur.

Both players are equally capable of defeating Swiatek, and Jabeur has already done so at the All England Club in 2021.

In the bottom half of the draw, Aryna Sabalenka is the favorite.

Sabalenka's two toughest competitors are Coco Gauff and 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva.

Andreeva defeated Sabalenka just over a month ago in the quarterfinals of the French Open and made it to the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2023.

In the top half, Jabeur should be able to reach the final for the third straight year and face Sabalenka in a winner-take-all.

Prediction: Sabalenka over Jabeur in three sets.
