B/R AM: America Can't Quit Tiger

Tiger Woods probably isn't going to win the 2024 Masters, which starts today.

Do you think that's stopped people from betting on him?

(No.)

If the Masters are the surest sign of spring, hammering Tiger as a longshot is a close second.

  • According to ESPN, the third-most bets (7.5%) and the fifth-most money (6%) is on him to win, despite 80-1 odds
  • 67% of all 'To Make the Cut' bets are on Tiger (-115), too

'He's actually our top liability again,' said a DK director, which means Tiger can hook a lot of people up.

Even betting this year's favorite is a little like betting (old) Tiger.

  • Scottie Scheffler (+400) is the biggest favorite since 2013, when Tiger entered those Masters at +350

(FWIW, Tiger didn't win that year.)
