Saturday's loss to Sean O'Malley in UFC 299 wasn't the only thing that went wrong for Marlon Vera this week.

TMZ Sports noted his home was broken into when he was in Miami for the fight.

Vera posted a photograph of his broken front door on Instagram with a message that said, "The f--king a--hole that broke into my home, I'm gonna find you."

Andrew Richardson of MMA Mania noted he also wrote the following message online:

"The context is last night there was a robbery. They broke into our house. Though they are material things, they are things that have been bought with a lot of effort and hard work. But hey, these types of things happen and the truth is tonight will be a good one."

The revelation comes after Vera lost to O'Malley via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC 299 at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

O'Malley jumped out to a quick start and controlled the opening rounds with his speed. While Vera showed some more aggression as the fight continued, it was clear his only path to victory was via knockout.

That never came, and O'Malley cruised to a victory.

O'Malley earned some revenge for the only loss of his UFC career, which came against Vera in August 2020.
