𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗮! Topic of the Day: Ungating 101 Let's dive into it 👇| First off, let's establish this. Do not, I mean do not alter or modify invoices or retail confirmations. Amazon checks retailer orders by entering in order numbers & email on their order status webpages. Ungating is so simple, yet sellers still f*ck it up. Most are clueless beginners that are too lazy to read the following rules that is shows you when ungating. [img:jz916ij6H] Let's dive into it: 1. The invoice must be from the past 6 months. 2. It includes matching name/address on your seller account. 3. Includes name/address of whom you bought it from (can add this info if it's not on physical confirmation). Not hard to understand so far, right? 4. Combined purchase of 10 or more units. The should be 10 of one ASIN of the brand you're ungating. This is better than 2 orders of 5 units and including 2 documents, which 𝙝𝙖𝙨 worked in the past. 5. Pricing information can be redacted. I don't bother doing this. Additional tips to help you ungate quicker. If you read this far, here's your prize: - Rename the file BRAND_INVOICE_ASIN - Highlight all the necessary info they want. Name, address, brand, etc. - This must be in PDF format. - Don't submit retail receipts. They don't work. Websites that have worked recently: - Target - Frontier Co-op - Soccer .com - Webstaurant Store Side note: A2A ungating I don't recommend anymore. I wouldn't abuse Amazon's system to ungate on their own platform. It's not worth the risk of you're account being shut down. Selecting the ideal platform for your new website is vital to laying the good foundations for your digital presence. One of my first e-commerce stores was built with Magento. Totally naive and convinced that I had made 100% the correct decision, little did I know that I had just got into a deep relationship with a massive monster. The agency that developed this site, in fairness, offered an alternative at the time, but I was convinced Magento was the only solution for the project. It became very apparent within 6 months that Magento is not suitable for small businesses or start-ups, it’s developer thirsty and requires a lot of man hours and big budgets are required to scale this platform. It is powerful and has endless abilities to scale, but Magento became a monster to manage, and I started to sink with lack of resources and cashflow to maintain this beast. Fast-forward 10 years later, here I am currently working on a project for a client who is currently on a magento platform. Their issues are similar to my own experiences. Business turnover is under €1m and the cost of running the site is not viable in relation to the overall financial situation. We are going to assist and re-platform to Shopify, the client will make a significant saving and will now have capability to scale without the heavy costs associated with Magento. It really does pay to do lots of groundwork before you choose your platform of choice. Reach out and speak to existing web owners and get their experience and feedback. Speak with different agencies and see what they recommend. The good agencies will put you and your business first instead of thinking how many dollars they can bill you for!!! Anyone notice 3 facts on Amazon’s recent corporate strategy and join the dots? 1. Profits on advertising are up a metric ton. More expensive sales. Thank you 3rd party sellers 2. Investment in FBA system is smaller percentage of Capital expenditure going forward. So less fulfilment capacity relative to demand. Screw you, 3P sellers. 3. % of Capex going to AWS is booming. Thank you 3P sellers. My take? If you’re selling on Amazon, you are helping Amazon pay for its expensive AWS system while you should expect to pay more and get less for fulfilment. Oh and pay those ludicrous new punitive fees if one single SKU isn’t shifting. Not good news.

This is why I'm a FBA > FBM advocate. Yes, FBA is an additional fee (fulfillment) but the increased buy-box share & quicker shipping speeds outweigh the benefits of FBM. Plus reviews are easier to remove. Now, I'm not saying FBM is bad. It's definitely useful. But the increased shipping costs for MF orders are negated by the lack of fulfillment fees. Considering labor costs, storage costs, & more, this is why I'm a firm believer that you should always prioritize FBA. Focus on high-ROI tasks like opening accounts, buying inventory, going through reports, etc. But I am open to opinions. Prove me wrong! buff.ly/3Itibtz

Selling on Amazon is Getting Difficult? Think Again… The New Fees in 2024 are going to bring some serious improvements. Amazon has introduced new fees in 2024, including: → Referral fee reductions for apparel products priced below $20 → FBA fulfillment fee changes → FBA monthly storage fee and aged inventory surcharge changes → FBA New Selection program changes → FBA fee changes for removals, disposals, and manual processing fee Amazon has also reduced fees in certain areas and removed others. For example, off-peak monthly inventory storage fees for standard-size products will be reduced by $0.09 per cubic foot starting April 1, 2024. When a customer is browsing on Amazon, they are often used to the convenience of Prime shipping. They expect their package at their doorstep in one day, with free shipping... all of which translates to a better overall customer experience. Therefore, sellers who use FBA are much more likely to have a higher CVR compared to those who use FBM.
