Have you heard of the European PET Bottle Platform (EPBP)? It is an industry initiative that supports PET bottle users in driving #circularity by: ✅ Providing PET bottle design guidelines for #recycling; ✅ Evaluating PET bottle #packaging solutions and technologies during their R&D phase where adjustments can still be made to mitigate recycling challenges; ✅ Facilitating understanding of the impact of new PET bottle innovation on recycling processes. The EPBP is supported by UNESDA Soft Drinks Europe, Natural Mineral Waters Europe (NMWE) and PETCORE EUROPE. 🔎 Find out more about the EPBP at https://www.epbp.org/ 🔗 And check out the EPBP leaflet 👉 https://lnkd.in/dEnpyKpV #CircularEconomy #PETRecycling #PETPackaging

What do watersheds have to do with the #SoftDrinks sector? Much more than you would imagine! Water is a critical natural resource for all of us: local communities, ecosystems, and industry. It is also the main ingredient in our soft drinks and our sector is firmly committed to managing our use of #water sustainably. In its new video, our member Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) presents its inspiring Mission Possible Replenish Project in Andalucia (Spain). Since 2019, CCEP has been working closely with WWF to restore a watershed in this region with the aim of protecting biodiversity and conserving water. This is one of the 36 Replenish Projects that CCEP is running across its 31 markets as part of its mission to replenish 100% of the water in its drinks. Last week, we were on the road! We headed to France to discover Infineo, a joint venture created in 2012 in Burgundy between Plastipak and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) France with the objective of developing the plastic bottle #recycling industry and raising awareness of recycling and the #CircularEconomy. First, we learnt about eco-design and sustainable #packaging at CCEP in the visitors’ center. Then, we went to the Plastipak plant, the first one producing food-grade #RecycledPET in France and which recycles 45,000 tons of plastic every year! It does it all: sorting, recycling, flakes, pellets, and preforms. Hats off to those working towards making #BeveragePackaging circular! 👏 And a special thank-you to our colleagues from Coca-Cola Europacific Partners for organising this great site visit!
