Last weekend I swapped Barcelona for Brussels as my home town and I couldn’t be more excited to be back after 8 years! Today, I had the chance to attend Accountancy Europe 's and AEGEE / European Students' Forum 's work event on today's job market and how we can improve the professional world. I especially want to thank our Managing Director Anna Aleksandra Koj for sharing her thoughts and expertise on the common "myths" in the market. What is young talent prioritizing in today's job market? This question has been one of the focus points of the conversation and it also came up a lot in our interaction with candidates. What do they prioritize? Is it a good paycheck, the company culture, the purpose of the position, or the governance structure of the organization? Paycheck indeed is one of the most important factors when it comes to deciding whether to accept a proposal or not. However, what I also observe is that the ambitious professionals of the EU Bubble are not ready to settle for positions that don't have a clear "purpose". Clear growth trajectories and leadership carry a huge role in such decisions. Just writing a short article on it and I am looking forward to sharing it with all of you. Understanding the expectations of both sides from an objective stance means a lot and I believe sharing this knowledge will be very beneficial for both sides. #publicaffairs #EUbubble #talentmanagement #recruitment #jobmarket #DEI
