Earlier today, Hon. Dr.Tatenda A. Mavetera, Minister of Ministry of ICT, Postal and Courier Services, Zimbabwe , Damien O'Sullivan, CEO of ICDL Foundation, and Solange Umulisa, ICDL Africa General Manager, took part in the ICDL Africa Zimbabwe Forum hosted by the Computer Society of Zimbabwe (CSZ). The forum is aimed at bring together key stakeholders in the ICT sector to discuss and strategize on enhancing digital skills development in Zimbabwe. The event provided a platform for sharing updates on ICDL Africa, insights from ICDL Global, and the Ministry's vision for ICT in Zimbabwe. Additionally, the forum aimed to foster collaboration and partnerships to drive the country's digital transformation agenda. The event featured insightful discussions, a Skillsbox Walkthrough, and an engaging Q&A session, making it an informative and interactive experience. Computer Society of Zimbabwe also took the opportunity to prepare the audience for its upcoming 50 year anniversary celebration!

This week saw the ICDL Europe summer CEO forum take place in gorgeous Paris with representatives from 10 countries across Europe in attendance. The day long event heard from ICDL Foundation CEO Damien O'Sullivan, and ICDL France President Christopher Sullivan who detailed a number of initiatives his team has undertaken in the past year. These bi-annual meetings are essential for fostering a strong sense of community and collaboration within the ICDL Foundation. These gatherings offer an excellent opportunity to engage in strategic discussions on how we can best serve our candidates and expand digital literacy on a global scale. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and to the Marriot for their exceptional hospitality.
