Since February, the Cultural Empowerment Program, initiated by Carmeuse Majan in partnership with Junior Achievement has worked to empower children through skill development, creativity, and personal growth. The program seeks to nurture the child’s personality, talents, and individual skills. By doing so, it aims to make each child intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally independent—especially crucial for orphans who require additional support in these aspects. To this date, our Carmeuse colleagues, together with JA, organized several workshops: 🎯 Strategic Planning, equipping individuals with essential planning skills 💰 Money Management, teaching financial literacy and responsible money handling 📚 Writing Storybooks for Children, fostering creativity and storytelling abilities. #Carmeuse #JuniorAchievement #CarmeuseFoundation

The Carmeuse Manitowoc Operation recently embarked on an exciting journey — an autonomous truck trial. Collaborating closely with the Mine Digitalization and Mine Engineering teams, along with West Region support, Carmeuse began the testing stages for this groundbreaking trial project in January of 2024 with promising results: 💡 Reducing Risk Exposure: The use of autonomous trucks helps to reduce the human operators’ presence in hazardous environments. This move significantly reduces the risk of accidents and injuries, while safeguarding our workforce. 💡 Accurate, Accessible, and Faster Operational Data: The autonomous system is able to provide real-time data from monitoring truck performance to tracking material movement. With the data readily accessible, decision-making processes are more informed and helps to to enhance operational efficiency. 💡 Improved Operator Ergonomics: With autonomous trucks handling repetitive tasks, operators can focus on higher-level responsibilities. This shift helps to improve working conditions and comfort. 💡 Reduction of Scope 1 Emissions: The use of autonomous systems helps to lay the groundwork for seamless integration with electric vehicles, which has a direct impact on the reduction of Scope 1 CO2 emission. This trial is a step forward providing a combination of cutting-edge technology, safety enhancements, and environmental consciousness. As Carmeuse finalizes the trial analysis, we anticipate defining the next steps in this transformative journey.

Last week, I had the pleasure of hosting our leadership teams at our annual EMEA Summit. This year's theme, ‘Gather, Grow, Go,’ emphasized collaboration, personal and company growth, and turning our shared goals into tangible results. With over 150 participants from 14 countries, the event was both invigorating and inspiring, perfectly balancing hard work and fun. Events like this remind me of what a great team we have at Carmeuse and how vision and passion for the business make the difference. Curious about how it all unfolded? Check out some of the highlights in our aftermovie! #Carmeuse #WeContributeToABetterWorld

Carmeuse believes every action counts when we work together to protect and preserve our planet. Over the last year, we have supported purposeful endeavors across our global footprint including the following: Our dedicated employees planted 50,000 trees across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The best Indigenous species were carefully selected for each region. In Zambia, Tunisia and Senegal, our teams worked to plant vegetable gardens to teach children about the environment and the magic of nurturing life from soil to plate. In the United States and Canada, several locations are working to build special butterfly gardens that provide local and vital habitat for the rapidly declining Monarch butterfly species. Milkweed seed packets will also be distributed for employees to plant in their personal gardens. Let's continue to focus on working together, and contribute to a better world. #Sustainability #WorldEnvironmentDay2025 #WeContributeToABetterWorld  #Carmeuse

Carmeuse Senegal organized its inaugural Open Day event, inviting seven schools to explore our plant’s operations. The main goal was to familiarize students and job-seekers with industry profiles. For those aspiring to work in this field, the Open Day offered a glimpse into their potential future roles. Beyond the plant tour, we proactively established partnerships with training schools. Our training sessions covered essential skills, including personal and professional development, as well as effective job search techniques. The goal was to guide students and job-seekers interested in the industry. The day was highly interactive, with enthusiastic students asking lots of questions. Thanks to all the participants and to our colleagues who got involved into this initiative!
