Policy Advisor (Competition & Tax) at the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU)
From passing #ViDA to facilitating discussion around ways to #declutter tax policy, there are numerous opportunities for the Council to bolster the EU's competitiveness through #EUtaxpolicy during this Presidency. That's why I am thrilled to have been able to organize a delegation of American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU) Tax Committee members to Budapest to discuss ways that EU #taxpolicy can contribute to Europe's #competitiveness and #attractiveness. We are grateful to the Ministry of Finance, Hungary, and the Nemzeti Adó- és Vámhivatal / National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary for the opportunity to discuss their vision for EU tax policy and competitiveness. I am also thankful to our partners and friends at AmCham Hungary for welcoming us to their beautiful city to discuss the experiences of US companies in the EU and Hungary. After six years, three terms, and countless great memories, it’s time to pass the torch to the next Chair of the Sustainble Finance Task Force at the American Chamber of Commerce to the European Union (AmCham EU). I’m delighted to welcome Ilan Jacobs as the new Chair. Congratulations Ilan! I wish you every possible success in driving forward the transatlantic dialogue on sustainable finance. A final note of thanks from me to all of the Task Force members, Vice Chairs, EU and US government officials, partners, and especially the AmCham staff for the many productive, challenging, and always optimistic conversations over the years.
