Boot Camp for Information Technology
Coursework and Certifications will be recognized toward Related Technical Instruction for AVTEC’s Registered Apprenticeship for Network Support Technician.
Want to jumpstart your career in IT?
AVTEC is offering an IT Bootcamp to prepare apprentices for the CompTIA A+ Certification
Exam.Course completers can choose to engage with an Apprenticeship Employer Partner or
pursue a job with their new IT skill set.
When & Where:
● May 15 – May 26th – AVTEC 809 Second Ave Seward, AK 99664
Who qualifies:
High School Graduating Seniors (18+) Who have taken High School IT courses
○ Prerequisites
■ HS transcript with IT course
■ Teacher Recommendation
■ We are offering an optional CompTIA ITF+ course prior to the boot camp
to help prepare the coursework.
● AVTEC will enroll after initial application is accepted
Adults looking to jump start, retrain, crosstrain, or upskill for a career in IT
○ Prerequisites
■ Currently employed in the field
■ 1 page interest essay or current employer recommendation
■ We are offering an optional CompTIA ITF+ course prior to the boot camp
to help prepare the coursework.

Cost:
There is no cost to attend, Tuition, room and board are covered by an apprenticeship grant.
Students are responsible for getting to and from the AVTEC campus.
