Tri City Record launched a Farmington, New Mexico weekly newspaper. The print publication is distributed Monday through Friday and the news site is updated daily. It serves the communities of San Juan County.

Our History
Since 1952 when Arthur and Morley began operating what is now the Durango Herald, Ballantine has had a significant impact on the community. Over the years, we’ve expanded to include several ventures such as The Journal, Four Corners Expos, BCI Media, and DGO Magazine.
2015
Began to create, deliver and measure mobile advertising. DGO Magazine was founded, now focused on the weed lifestyle in the Four Corners region.
2013
BCI Media Services was founded as a full-service marketing agency, with a focus on digital solutions.
2012
Renamed Ballantine Communications, Inc. as a result of entering into the digital media marketplace.
2004
Four Corners Expos was founded with the purchase of the Durango Home & Ranch Show.
2002
The Herald was awarded the Sigma Chi Award for Excellence in Journalism by the Society of Professional Journalists, after extensive coverage of the Missionary Ridge Fire.
1999/ 2000
Purchased the Montezuma Valley Journal, the Cortez Sentinel and the Dolores Star (now The Journal, distributed in Cortez, Dolores and Mancos).
1996
The Durango Herald was launched online.
1983
Began publishing local phone books in Southwestern Colorado and throughout New Mexico.
1952
Arthur and Morley Ballantine purchased and began operating the newspaper, now named The Durango Herald.
