AWS Business Support free trial offer FAQs

Who is eligible for AWS Business Support free credit offer?
Eligibility (for AWS Accounts that are part of an AWS Organization or associated to a Payer
Account). All AWS Accounts that are part of the same AWS Organization as the account identified in the Expression of Interest must: Not be currently subscribed to AWS Support at the Business, Enterprise On-Ramp, or Enterprise levels, Bill directly with AWS and cannot be associated to a Partner, Reseller, or Solution Provider; and, Be current and in good standing; and, The AWS Account identified in the Expression of Interest must remain in the same AWS Organization [under the same Management Account] consecutively for the Promotional and Discount Periods.

Eligibility (for AWS Accounts that are not part of an AWS Organization and is not associated to a Payer Account). The AWS Account identified in the Expression of Interest must: Not currently be subscribed to AWS Support at the Business, Enterprise On-Ramp, or Enterprise levels; Must bill directly with AWS and cannot be associated to a Partner, Reseller, or Solution Provider; and, Must be current and in good standing.

The AWS Business Support free trial program is not part of the AWS Free Tier. Your eligibility for this program is determined independently.

Will I automatically be enrolled in the free trial?
For eligible promotions, the offer will be applied and identified account will automatically be enrolled in AWS Business Support within two weeks of submitting the Expression of Interest and accepting the Terms and Conditions. Customers seeking same-day access to AWS Business Support can sign-up here, however will not be eligible for the free-trial offer.

How will I know if I have been approved?
Upon enrollment in free trial offer, you will receive an email notifying you of account subscription to AWS Business Support. You can also verify your enrollment by going to Support Center within the console. Customers enrolled in Business Support will see the support tier on the top left of the Supper Center and will be able to create a case ticket.

When will the trial period end?
The Promotional Period begins on the date the account identified in the Expression of Interest is enrolled in AWS Business Support and runs for 60 consecutive days, if the AWS Account is not part of an AWS Organization. For accounts identified in the Expression of Interest that are member accounts of an AWS Organization, the Promotional Period begins on the date that the first AWS Account that is a member of the Organization is enrolled in the Promotional Offer and runs 60 days therefrom.

Are there any costs associated with the free-trial?
The trial is free and at no additional cost to the customer.

What will I be charged if I choose to continue using the service after the free trial has expired?
After the free trial has ended, your account and will be charged following Promotional Rate for AWS Business Support for 12 consecutive months: Minimum spend of $39 or 8% of monthly AWS charges from $1K-$30K; 5% of monthly AWS charges over $30K.
After the Promotional Period is over, your account will remain on the AWS Business Support plan and will be charged as described here.

Where can I see AWS Business Support charges?
You can view your AWS Business Support charges or download a usage report by going to the billing dashboard in the AWS Console. If you have questions about eligibility, or meet the eligibility criteria but fail to receive the promotional offer, please contact AWS Support.

How can I cancel the trial?
To cancel the trial, customers can raise a ticket or select plan downgrade within the support plans management console. In some cases, customers might get an error while canceling support. If that is the case, customer will need to try to cancel support post Day 31, OR create a ticket at anytime to cancel support.
