ECOVACS ROBOTICS has today announced the launch of its new premium DEEBOT X1 Family here in Australia. Spearheaded by its flagship DEEBOT X1 OMNI and accompanied by the DEEBOT X1 TURBO, today’s launch introduces new benchmarks for the DEEBOT series with greater suction power than ever, new mapping technology and more.
The DEEBOT X1 OMNI is the latest and greatest Robot Vacuum from Ecovacs. This latest release features suction power of up to 5000Pa, and the latest TrueMapping 2.0 and AIVI™ 3D technologies for improved automation and tracking. It also features its strongest mopping system ever, and an all-in-one OMNI station that includes self-cleaning, auto empty and auto water refill. Once again, the device is entirely controlled by the ECOVACS Home mobile app, and is built from the ground up to work with Amazon Alexa.
Designed in collaboration with european designers Jacob Jensen Design House, the DEEBOT X1 Family brings a fresh look to the Ecovacs range of handsfree housekeepers. We’ve got all the official details below, as well as where you can get your hands on either the X1 OMNI or X1 Turbo in Australia.
DEEBOT X1 OMNI
The DEEBOT X1 OMNI is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to manage the entire floor cleaning process. Beyond sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping, the new OMNI Station is the first in the world to integrate and automate not only dust collection, but also cleaning of the mop, drying the mop with hot air flow and refilling the water reservoir from its water tank.
The All-in-One OMNI Station has a 4L clean/dirty water tank to automatically store the wastewater after cleaning the mop and refilling the water tank in the DEEBOT X1 with clean water. After each cleaning round, the base station automatically washes the mop and dries it using hot air to remove odours when working in humid environments.
The DEEBOT X1 OMNI also features ECOVACS’ strongest mopping system ever - the OZMO™️ Turbo 2.0 Rotating Mopping System. Mopping pads seen throughout the ECOVACS range have made way for specially designed attachments that vibrate, spin, and maintain moisture efficiently for the ultimate results. The combination of pressure and high-speed rotation of 180 rpm (rotations per minute) have been tested on real-life, stubborn challenges such as coffee and soy sauce stains that have been allowed to solidify and set for three days. Adding in ECOVACS highest ever suction power of up to 5000Pa, the 4-stage Deep Cleaning System results in a powerful all-round clean.
Mapping and obstacle detection are two of the most exciting innovations seen in robotic vacuums over the last few years. ECOVACS’ TrueMapping 2.0 technology is found in the DEEBOT X1 OMNI which speeds up mapping and offers a wider field of view.
While previous models have seen ECOVACS’ innovations in AI and 3D obstacle detection separately, the DEEBOT X1 OMNI combines these learnings with the brand-new AIVI™️ 3D technology. Ecovacs claims this significantly improves the robot's perception of the environment using laser and visual sensing technologies. It uses the most complex sensor developed by ECOVACS, called an RGBD sensor, that includes HDR dynamic range imaging technology to accurately capture environmental images and semantic information even in dark environments.
The DEEBOT X1’s decision making process is similar to an autonomous driving car. It is the first time Autopilot technology has been used in home service robots. This technology utilises Horizon GAI chips and dramatically improves the robots’ ability to identify and sense different object types while building three-dimensional information of the environment.
With a new generation comes new AI, and “YIKO” is what Ecovacs are calling their built-in interactive assistant tailored for home service robots. By combining voice and visual AI algorithms, YIKO enables natural language communication and multimodal interaction. When integrated with the robot functions, intelligent AI voice interaction technologies, and voice semantics from Google, it gives users complete control and enables precise guidance, simplifying complicated household tasks by understanding and implementing user voice instructions.
By saying "OK YIKO, start quick mapping", users can build a complete map for efficient cleaning. Alternatively, users can ask their DEEBOT to come towards their voice, vacuum under the sofa, go back to clean the bedroom, and much more. ECOVACS’ YIKO transforms the user experience, turning the DEEBOT X1 Family from highly intelligent cleaning tools to truly home service robotics.

DEEBOT X1 TURBO
The other new member of the new X1 Family also launching this week, is the DEEBOT X1 TURBO. The DEEBOT X1 TURBO shares many features with the DEEBOT X1 OMNI such as AIVI 3D and TrueMapping 2.0 obstacle detection and mapping, 5000Pa strong suction power and YIKO assistant. It comes with an alternative docking station that focuses on its mopping effectiveness – ideal for homes with tiles and floorboards.
With a focus on mopping, the DEEBOT X1 TURBO’s station is a smaller version of the OMNI station, and focuses on auto-cleaning the mopping pads, with cool air drying, and refilling of the water reservoir.
The DEEBOT X1 Family also supports 24-hour intelligent movement control. The built-in camera and interestingly enough a two-way voice function which allows you to use the ECOVACS HOME App to talk to family members, pets and interact with other voice controlled devices?
