Not to be outdone by Apple, Google's next flagship Pixel phone will reportedly boast a suite of enhanced AI functionality.
Google is planning to introduce a new set of machine learning features on the Pixel 9 under the branding "Google AI," according to Android Authority, which cites a source inside the company.
Google AI will include a mix of new and existing AI features. Circle to Search and Gemini, for example, are already available on Pixels. One new feature, Add Me, will "ensure everyone is in a group photo." This may be an extension of Google's Best Take feature, which can change the expressions of people in a photo, by allowing you to merge different takes of the same photo to add people who might not be in both.
Another rumored new feature coming to the Pixel 9 is called Studio, which will allow users to "remix" stickers using the Pixels' screenshot app. Pixel Screenshots, meanwhile, sounds similar to Microsoft's Recall feature; it adds metadata to your screenshots and allows you to search those screenshots later and find specific ones quickly.
Google hasn't made any announcements, but it has a "Made by Google" event scheduled for Aug. 13, which is likely to include the launch of the Pixel 9.
